[Is there even a door on their tents? Who knows, either way, Hayley is gonna let Rebekah in.]

You really did mean pack up your things.

[doors, tanned hides they fashion into doors -- same difference.]

Well, I was bringing over a few things -- it seemed more practical in carrying them.

[Hayley lets out an amused half-laugh.]

Well, you can put them down anywhere. It's not like I have many places to choose from. [What she does have would be things that Klaus has stolen for her.]

None of us do, yet. [Rebekah will set her things down on something Klaus has whittled and left for Hayley.

From her bag she procures a bottle of Scotch]

I thought you'd want that first.

[The cookwear that she'd recently gotten comes in handy. She grabs two of the cups and sets them on her knees when she sits down. Hayley pours one for her and for Rebekah.]

Yes. Thank you. [She'll hand it off to her.] I didn't realize how much I missed this until right now.

I don't blame you. It's been difficult to ration the little alcohol I have received here.

[As Rebekah, much like many vampires, relies heavily on the stuff.]

I promise not to be a lush. [Her words tease, lightly.]

Though, you can always ask me for help too. I mean, with the blood. Unless, Stefan's been helping you in that area too. [Hayley smirks, she's seen the fact that Rebekah doesn't seem to be suffering from any of the sickness.]

[A small smirk tugs at her lips.] Stefan's not much help when it comes to blood -- unless you mean taking the occasional nip from him.

[It's kind of nice to have someone she can talk a little more freely about things with. Caroline and Damon treat her like she's some sort of trash Stefan's sullying himself with. And Nik? Yeah she regrets ever admitting that one to him but what's done is done there.]

[Hayley takes another sip and shakes her head as she swallows.]

Well, you can always come to me. I heal faster now. I'll be fine as long as I'm not sick. [Which, Rebekah might notice she is not.]

Which you aren't. [Rebekah has noticed that. She sips at her drink for a moment, tilting her head curiously.]

Should I ask which of my brothers was the lucky one or is that being too presumptuous?

[There's only a smirk at first as she glances at Rebekah over the edge of her cup.]

Elijah. [She sets the cup down on her knee and smiles.] I had a moment with Klaus, when I first spoke with him, but I think he just has too many questions he's not sure he wants to ask me.

Probably. He wasn't happy with me when he realized I knew you were here before he did. [To say the very least. Still, she smirks a little.]

It's about time though -- and honestly, I'd much rather it be you than Elijah's other prospects.

[Ew, Katherine.]

Other prospects? [No... she doesn't care. Nope. Not curious or concerned.

Katherine? [More than a little.] She tried to kill me.

One of her many crimes, I assure you. During the race for the cure they seemed to have...rekindled something but I do think it's long over with.

[Or as much as it can be, her brother does have an unfortunate soft spot for doppelgangers. She'll never get the appeal.]

And from what I understand the version here is from long before that -- last I knew, when Nik and I went back to Mystic Falls it had been because Katherine was dying.

[Hayley remembers the trip that they took after Tyler's appearance in New Orleans. She takes a deep breath at the recollection.]

Sounds like everyone has their own brand of ammunition to keep her on her toes for once.

So it would seem. I'd rather just avoid her personally but I'm sure Nik is just itching to run into her.

[Rebekah takes another sip from her glass now.]

Is he alright? [He's stopped by a few times, left things, but she knows that he doesn't linger for a reason.] With everyone being here?

I don't know. Last time I tried to talk to him -- he made me leave. He contacted me a little bit later but we haven't exactly been on good terms. I don't think he's doing well though. It's part of why I was glad Elijah arrived.

[After everything she's done, she's not who Nik would turn to.]

So he has someone to talk to.

The two of you are always in the middle of things either getting better or worse. It'll even out.
